A new spark in Victoria has ignited with local six-piece blues band, The Smokestacks. Their sound brings together a collection of classic blues standards with soul, originality, and creativity. Their style ranges from smooth grooves to hard, gritty blues, with inspirations from the likes of Howlin’ Wolf, Bonnie Raitt, Albert King, and many other legendary blues giants. Since recently forming in the past year, they have received widespread support from other local blues groups, frequent listeners, and community members that all share an excitement for young, up-and-coming blues artists.
