Sister Says

Bullen Park | Saturday, July 2 | 1:15pm

“Their sound is smooth, their lyrics intelligent and their creative chemistry produces a new take on songs redolent to Annie Lennox and The Eurhythmics and the 1980’s group Everything But the Girl.” – BC Musician Magazine

Fronted by mixed Haida/European siblings, vocalist Gillian Thomson and bassist Robert Thomson, Vancouver-based indie pop/singer-songwriter project Sister Says has an organic soul and, at times, folky sound. Dreamy, eclectic, and lyrically rich, Sister Says’ roots stem from the soul, jazz, blues, and pop music they grew up around. Performing at festivals and an array of venues in BC, across Canada, and from New Orleans to Beijing, highlights include performing at Folk Alliance International in New Orleans, at the BC Pavilion in Beijing, and Nathan Phillips Square in Toronto opening for Stars. Keith Sinclair guitar, Max Ley drums, Trevor Ainsworth percussion
