“Durán has been wowing the world with his creative approach to Afro-Cuban and Latin jazz, one breathtaking concert after another.” – WholeNote

Winner of multiple Juno awards and internationally recognised as a jazz pianist, composer, arranger, bandleader of the highest order, Cuban-born Hilario Durán returns to TD JazzFest with his quartet Contumbao to perform tunes from his acclaimed, Juno-nominated eponymously-titled album, Contumbao. This evocative and well-conceived project continues exploring the deep roots of the entire spectrum of Afro-Cuban music.
